Mute Signs France’s M83
And Releases Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts on July 27, 2004

Mute North America is proud to announce the label’s latest signing, M83.
The French duo’s second album, Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts will be released on July 27th, 2004 on CD and 2xLP.
The CD format will include a bonus disc with five additional tracks and 2 videos, packaging not available on any import. “Run Into Flowers” is the first single to be released by Mute on June 29th, 2004 on CD and 12” single. M83’s debut North American live dates in September will be announced shortly.

M83 is Anthony Gonzalez (with the assistance of friend, Nicolas Fromageau) who call Antibes, France home.
The band touches upon all genres, from electronic to pop to ambient. M83's distinct sound is both modern and melancholic via ambitious inter-galactic compositions influenced by Tangerine Dream and Mogwai..

Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts was released in Europe by Gooom Disques/Labels in April 2004 and as an import, it generated significant attention in North America.
