Title: Larry Heard to play Dublin, Ireland..
Date Added: 29 Sep 2004

In the beginning there was jack.."

DownTownSounds would like to get up on a very tall building and proclaim to the whole world that Larry Heard aka Mr Fingers ie the producer of the single greatest piece of house music ever created, 'Can You Feel It?', will be our very special guest at Crawdaddy on Friday October 15th.

Mr Heard pretty much invented deep house with his exceptional, spaced out early productions. As influenced by Pat Metheny and Manuel Gottsching's proto techno symphony 'e2-e4' as he was by classic disco and soul and the psychotropic nightlife of Chicago in the early 80's, his debut 'Mysteries Of Love' found it's way into Larry Levan's All Time Top 5, the crashing, angular bleeps of 'Washing Machine' predated Phutures' 'Acid Trax' by two years, and well, what exactly do you say about 'Can U Feel It?' that hasn't been gibbered at you at 7 in the morning by some madouva?

The man's a legend who continues to record incredible 21st Century soul music for his Alleviated imprint and DJ around the world, playing incredible music all across the board, just the way we like it.

You might say we're a little excited about this!!.

So the nitty gritty:
