DJ Deep, or Cyrill Etienne is back in the Bodytonic Basement once again after
winning their online poll for best guest DJ of 2004. Deep played Bodytonic on a
sweaty night back in July and showed us all why he is one of the best house DJs
in the world and has Kerri Chandler's, Louie Vega's, Francois K's numbers on his
mobile and they actually pick-up when he calls!
Deep cut his teeth DJing in Club Boy in Paris alongside fellow Frenchman Laurent
Garnier, who would give him regular beatings for screwing up mixes so he honed
his craft. Around then he also started his radio show with pal DJ Gregory and
hooked up with Julian Jabre to produce "The Fire EP" which is still a stone cold
classic.
"The Fire" gained him alot of attention around the world and he started
releaseing mix comps like 'The French Sessions' and the 'Respect' series which
had him jetting around the place pushing his sound.
He is also currently promoting his new label Deeply Rooted House with its first
release 'Back to the Raw' by Kerri Chandler flying off the shelf. The track is
exactly what it says it is - Raw!
Anyway, he did loads of other stuff that but when he played Bodytonic back in
july he had people dragging the speakers out from the walls for extra dancing
space. We expect nothing less this time....or else...

A 'Vinyl is dead' night with Abelton Live, Tracktor, CDJ's and Final Scratch
performances by Tayor,Paul Hughes, Soul AD & Joe Morrissey
This will be a new seasonal party (ie once every 3 months or so) we'll be doing
to showcase the latest in digital technology. We've never made a secret of the
fact we believe vinyl is on its way out, and so for this night, we'll be showing
people exactly what sort of techology is out there and how exciting it is. From
being able to play live and mix tracks with Abelton, to playing wav files on a
turntable via a laptop, to editing and looping on the fly with the Pioneer
CDJ1000's, the digital age is very exciting and hopefully we'll provide some
insight into that on this night. We also aim to launch a new php version of our
website on the night too, fingers crossed...
Still , at the end of the day, no matter what technology is out there, its whats
coming out of the speakers that's most important. We aint lost sight of that...
